Introduction

Welcome to Pocketful!

Pocketful, also known in Chinese as 鸦鸦盒子, is a creative journaling and collection app. In this Privacy Policy, we refer to Pocketful as “the App”.

We respect your privacy and designed the App so that your creative content stays on your device. The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not upload, store, or sell your creative content on our servers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is stored locally on your device, what limited anonymous usage data we collect, which permissions the App may request, and what happens when you delete the App.

Information We Collect

Pocketful does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, contact information, or creative content through the App.

To help us understand how the App is working and improve its features, we collect limited anonymous usage data through Tencent CloudBase, our cloud service provider.

This data may include:

A randomly generated anonymous app identifier
Device model
Operating system version
App version
General feature-use events, such as whether a card is created, a sticker is captured, an emotion check-in is completed, or a focus session ends

We do not collect your photos, audio recordings, text notes, drawings, cards, collections, or other creative content through this analytics service.

We use this information only to understand feature usage, identify technical issues, and improve the App. We do not use it for advertising, cross-app tracking, or to build a personal profile about you.

Content Stored on Your Device

When you use the App, the following content may be stored locally on your device only:

Photos and images you capture or import
Audio recordings you create
Text notes and written content
Drawings and doodles
Cards and collections, including tin boxes you create

This content does not leave your device unless you choose to share or export it yourself, for example through iOS system sharing. We do not upload your creative content to our servers.

Device Permissions

The App may request certain system permissions only when needed:

Camera – to take photos you choose to use in your cards or stickers
Photo Library – to import existing photos or images
Microphone – to record audio that you choose to add

These permissions are used only to support the features you choose to use inside the App. We do not use these permissions to access or upload your creative content. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings, but some features may not work without them.

Data Storage and Deletion

Your creative content is stored locally on your device. The App does not currently provide cloud backup or account sync for your creative content.

If you delete the App, all creative content and other App data stored locally inside the App may be deleted from your device and cannot be recovered by us.

If you want to keep your creations, please save or export them before deleting the App.

Anonymous usage data may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the App, or as required by applicable law.

Data Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not share your creative content with third parties, and we do not use your photos, audio, text, drawings, cards, or collections for any other purpose.

We use Tencent CloudBase to process the limited anonymous usage data described in this Privacy Policy. Tencent CloudBase processes this information on our behalf to help us operate and improve the App.

Your content only leaves your device when you choose to share or export it, for example by sending an image or card to a friend through the iOS share sheet.

Children’s Privacy

The App is designed to be gentle and privacy-friendly. We do not knowingly collect creative content or direct personal information from children through the App.

Parents or guardians can manage app access and permissions through the device’s system settings and parental controls.

Your Rights and Control

Because your creative content is stored locally on your device, you control it directly:

You can view and manage your content inside the App
You can delete individual creations at any time
You can delete all locally stored App data by deleting the App from your device
